Semble shines at supporting non-linear discovery within an interconnected network of cards. Although the linear explore feed is a good starting point, the fun comes when browsing Semble pages, collections, and profiles. We've got some new features mostly focused on supporting this kind of navigation, check them out and let us know what you think!
But first, a poll!
What should we work on next after notifications?
β¬οΈ And now on to our recent features β¬οΈ
Discover on Semble
The Home page now has a new section, 'Discover on Semble' which will surface related cards based on your recent Semble activity. This also works for new users who haven't saved anything to their library yet (the recommendations will be based off their profile in that case)!
Sorting Options
You can now sort cards based on the date added or by the number of accounts that have saved the same url. This is available on all profile and collection pages.
Collection Search
You can now search for collections on any profile page (including your own).
Handle Search on Sign In Page
Now when you start typing your handle on the sign in page, a list of matching handles show up which you can select to auto-fill the field.

Collection Card Preview
Collection card views now include a preview of the most recently added cards, making it easier to visually skim what might be inside a collection.
Switch to Jetstream and minor Semble PDS Client fixes
We recently switched from listening to the Firehose to listening to a Jetstream, which simplifies a lot of infrastructure for us and makes using your PDS as a Semble API more reliable.
We also fixed a few tiny bugs in the Semble PDS Client so make sure you use the most recent version! @ronentk.me is already working on a Notion -> Semble integration with it!
That's all folks! Happy thanksgiving to those who celebrate and happy Friday to all π¦π€
